Our advantages
Smaller Classes
Our student to staff ratio is 9:1. The average Arizona public school has 19:1. This means more individual attention for your student.
Leadership Focused
We are making the leaders of tomorrow through Franklin Covey's Leader in Me program. Leader in Me teaches students the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in an engaging, immersive school-wide leadership focus.
Technology Driven
At Avalon and Excalibur, our technology goal is to prepare students for jobs that don't exist yet. Our computer to student ratio is one of the best in the state and we make good use of our two modern computer labs. Students learn everything from MS Office to C++ Programming, Web design, and advanced networking.
24 out of 25 US News and World Report's top schools (2010) were charter schools
Excalibur Charter schools are different because unlike public schools, we teach the whole student. The the six pillars of character - caring, responsibility, trustworthiness, respect, citizenship, and fairness are concepts instilled into each lesson.

Testimonials
Avalon has a great principal. This principal and staff have really turned the school into a wonderful small-home town school with small classes and concern for each individual student. The principal wants the school to become an excelling school. I am grateful that my children attend this school.
Excalibur High School helped me graduate on time. The other students are fun and good friends. I feel confident about my future.
Being a staff member for four years at Excalibur, I realize that we have something here that I've never seen in another school district, a sense of community and belonging. This feeling goes from the Principal all the way to the students and parents and it's the reason I'll be back year after year.
Lizzy (a student at Avalon) gets a lot of extra attention and one-on-one time. We love Avalon!
