A Message from ECS Administration

Our future is in the hands of our students—your children. Parents and educators share a common goal—we want our children to be successful. Success includes academic skills as well as behavioral skills. A strong partnership between students, parents, and educators is critical. There is always improvement that can be made when it comes to student success. The dynamics of our partnership is evident when all parties work together to find a solution. Excalibur Charter Schools administration continually strives to maintain a safe and effective learning environment at our two campuses. Our established policies and procedures demonstrate that commitment.

What can parents do to help? GET INVOLVED! Our board meets the second Monday of every other month (see this web page for calendar of meeting dates and place). We invite you to attend these meetings and hear how our schools are progressing towards financial and academic goals. The meetings begin promptly at 5:30.

Other Parental Involvement Opportunities
* Support teachers and administrators. Our #1 goal is to see your child succeed. Parents expect and demand us to be accountable for their child’s education. We take that very seriously and as such feel obligated to take actions necessary to ensure all our students have a chance to feel successful. Please remind your student that school decisions or policies are not written or made to be restrictive or punitive. Rather, they are written so that our educators can do the job you expect them to do---TEACH!
* Volunteer to chaperone dances or field trips
* Support campus activities
* Attend Parent/Teacher Meetings
* Read and become familiar with monthly school newsletters and school handbook
* Log on at least weekly to Power School to track your own student’s progress and communicate with teachers. Contact the front office of each campus if you have questions about how to do that.
